Nanjing Creative Design Center is established under the guidance of Publicity Department of CPC Nanjing Committee, Nanjing Development and Reform Commission and other governmental departments. It is a Non-Profit Organization (NPO)? funded by Nanjing Cultural Investment Group. It serves as a propeller for the development of Nanjing’s cultural and creative design industry, committed to setting up a comprehensive platform boastin synergized innovation, nurturing talents in the creative design field, building an urban creativity brand and promoting high-quality development of the cultural and creative industry. Creating more values for the city by virtue of design and innovation is its target and helping the city develop into a national key cultural and creative central city is its mission.
The Center shoulders the mission of bolstering the cultural and creative design industry of Nanjing, and has organized the Nanjing Creative Design Week for four consecutive years, relying on such reputed platforms as the Milan Expo, London Design Festival and New York Fashion Week. Creative and design resources worldwide have been pooled, with local designers, business teams and product brands incubated and nurtured in succession. It has signed contracts with domestic and overseas outstanding designers and provided services that align with the various design needs of enterprises. On its task list are also contacting and networking with organizations under the international design association, heading local designer delegations for international design events as well as strengthening international design exchanges of Nanjing. It’s worth noting that the Center is the only organization in Nanjing that has been a member of “China-Italy High-Level People-to-People Exchange Mechanism” and “China-UK High-Level People-to-People Exchange Mechanism”.
